National Museum of the US Air Force Homeschool Day

Events and Activities Board, Home

It’s time to register for the Spring Homeschool day at National Museum of the US Air Force (near Dayton, OH).
Here is a link to the website with details on it: http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/education/homeschool/index.asp

**Registration for the Spring Home School Day opened at 9 a.m. on March 1, 2010 and closes at 5 p.m. on March 19, 2010.

From past experience if you are interested in attending workshop sessions that day, register early because they fill up quickly and could get wait listed. Even if you are wait listed there is a chance on still attending the class since many homeschoolers end up not attending for one reason or another.

Check you the website and the info if interested . We have attended a few years now and the kids love it!

TOS Homeschool Crew: Try out process for next season’s Crew members

Events and Activities Board, Home, Homeschooling Reviews

Anyone reading my blog knows that I am a member of the TOS Homeschool Crew for the current school year. As you know they select about 100-200 homeschoolers to be a part of this journey. You basically provide product reviews for the various vendors that are paying for their products to get honest product reviews from the Crew. You in turn get the opportunity to try out various homeschool products and in turn get to keep these products for free. Sometimes you get a limited online subscription and other times you are given the product to keep. It has been an awesome experience for me as well as a blessing. If you are interested in becoming a Crew member for the 2010-2011 Crew year go to http://www.theoldschoolhousestore.com/homeschool/Homeschool-Crew-2010.htm to find out more about it as well as how you can try-out to be selected. If you have any questions feel free to post a question here.

New post area for Events and Activities

Events and Activities Board

I have opened up this category for folks to post local events and activities for folks to share wit each other. Since I have had trouble with people trying to post spam and inappropriate messsages I have made everyone need to register so that you will not be allowed to post anonymously.. which allows me to block you in the future if you abuse posting. Also helps to keep spam and inappropriate comments from others.

Please post any events and activities that may be of interest to other homeschoolers or families in general. Include date and time, location and description as well as any type of contact for the event or activity you can provide such as a web site or contact number/address for a business or organization.

I do not endorse anything posted but I allowing folks to share here.
So please screen the information as appropriate for your family and kids. Thanks!
