Pen Pal Kids Club review and giveaway: Congrats to my winner, Lori!

My daughter recently had the opportunity to try out Pen Pal Kids Club which is a virtual kid community that allows your child to safely explore geographic places by learning about it online in what they read, becoming pen pals with other children, playing games, and other activities. Your child starts by creating their own online avatar and you as a parent have access and can track what your kids are doing in that online world. You can control how much information they share and can see what they have been doing. You can check out the parents FAQs area HERE for answers to your questions about a child’s account and how you can monitor their activities. Your child can both create and upload videos to share with other pen pals and view ones shared by others as well. All of this done in a safe online community.

You can check out the Pen Pal Kids Club website HERE for more specific information. The free membership is limited in all you can do but the full membership is only $4.99 per month and for the time being you can create up to 5 child accounts per household. Also right now during the month of July your child can experience the paid version for FREE.

My youngest has really enjoyed her membership and gets on daily to check to see what her virtual pen pal friends are doing. She writes back and forth with them and has checked out information about where they live by going to the Educational content library and searches for articles and specific information on the various countries. That area is Powered by Encyclopædia Britannica Kids and contains filtered information for your child to explore and learn information on various subject material. It is difficult to fully portray what Pen Pal Kids Club all has to offer and what it means to my child as she spends time online with it. You really have to check it out for yourself. Now is a perfect time because you can try it out for free by signing up in July. I can say as a homeschooler I can see my child getting many benefits from this website. She is excited about meeting other kids from various places through the world and other states. She has written back and forth with them and is learning the art of communication as well as using and developing her writing skills. She is spending time researching about various geographical areas as she meets kids from those places.

For my readers in addition to having the opportunity to try out a free month of Pen Pal Kids Club you can win a 3 month trial from Pen Pal Kids Club just by commenting on this post. Let me know how you think your child would benefit from Pen Pal Kids Club. This is the mandatory entry post. Hey, this sounds really great! My daughter has Down Syndrome and I love interactive opportunities for her to learn. I think she would love the interaction online since her typing and reading skills are better than her speech and writing skills. I think it would be a great way for her to learn about other people, places or things! I’m going to check out the site more when I get home later. For now I am off to run errands! Thanks for sharing this! I am so excited about being on the crew and learning about all these wonderful offers out there!

This sounds AMAZING! My girls would love to try something like this and I really think my older daughter will benefit as she has Asperger’s Syndrome and struggles socially. A program like this will help her to practice her social skills in a non-pressure situation. Thanks for the opportunity! I am going to check this out!:) Lori
