Theo : Review and giveaway: Winners were selected! Congrats!
Theo Presents all centers around the main character Theo who lives in a quaint English town and who is student of God’s word. In this animated video, Theo teaches the Gospel along with two mice, Belfry and Luther. I received a sample of the Theo Presents series to review which has the following short episodes on it: Saving Faith and Good News . This DVD was created in order to help parents, teachers and others to present a Biblical worldview to our children.
Our family homeschools in order to ensure that we, as parents, can instill these values into our children without the negative influence and worldly messages that often get taught in other environments. Theo is one tool that anyone can use to help them teach their own children no matter what outside influences their children may be exposed to. I can also see how Theo can be used in the church or on the mission field as well.
The first episode on the DVD, Good News, visually teaches the Gospel in a very straightforward and humorous way. The Gospel was explained very well so that all ages can understand God’s message of salvation using explanations and illustrations that convey the meaning of sin and what we need to do to get right with God and be saved.
In the second episode, Saving Faith, Theo teaches us about faith through the story of Abraham and Sarah and tells us how we can freely receive salvation through faith in God.
I was very impressed with the quality and content of the Theo DVD. I liked that it presented a Biblical worldview and incorporated the Gospel in each episode that could be easily understood by just about any age. The inclusion of the mice and the humor added to the DVD help to bring each point across effectively. The preview copy I received has two of the episodes that come on the God’s Love DVD and included a bag of tea to enjoy while watching the episodes.
