Ginny Owens: “Get In, I’m Driving” music CD Review and Giveaway!!!!

I admit that when I was asked if I would review a copy of Ginny Owens’s new upcoming release,”Get In, I’m Driving” , I really did not know too much about her or her music.  I was provided the following quote about her and I realized that I really should have known her already and do not know how I did not recognize her more easily.  The following is the quote I received.

In 2005 Owens launched The Fingerprint Initiative, a hands-on, non-profit organization designed to “bring hope to the world, one project and one touch at a time.” The organization has partnered with  and raised money for groups such as Compassion International, International Justice Mission and Habitat for Humanity.”

Not only is what I learned about her inspirational, but after listening to her new release, “Get In, I’m Driving”, I also discovered I find her music to be as well.   I could easily picture myself sitting in a Christian coffeehouse listening to her sing on stage, or in a church service being inspired by her easy and loving spirit through the words of her songs, or even in a concert hall being ministered by her music with a large crowd around me.

You can listen to excerpts from Ginny’s new CD at her website.  I think that is the best way to really hear the spirit and soul that is behind her music rather than have me attempt to describe it to you.

    I learned that she was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, is a three-time Dove Award winner and is blind. I have never heard of her before so I enjoyed reading about her and her music.
