Write Foundation: Paragraph Writing lesson 16 through 30

Earlier in the school year I reviewed the first 15 lessons of Write Foundation’s paragraph writing curriculum.  You can find that review here on my blog. I later received the remainder of the lessons in order to provide a review of them as well.

These lessons are targeted toward ages 12-15 and continue to teach writing structure, process, and mechanics in addition to creative writing skills. In the last lessons of level 2 paragraph writing, the student is now writing 2 – 5 paragraph papers as well as continuing to learn and write different forms of poetry. You can view the actual syllabus here on the Write Foundation website. The last lessons of the Level 2: Paragraph Writing curriculum prepare the student to advance to the next level of writing which is essay writing.

What I did like about this curriculum was that it also introduced the student to writing the various forms of poetry which is sometimes left out of writing courses. It makes for a more well-rounded approach to teaching writing.

When I first reviewed Write Foundation, you could purchase the writing curriculum in two separate groups of lessons which is why I first reviewed lessons 1-15 and later received and reviewed lessons 16-30. Write Foundation no longer sells their writing curriculum this way and currently only sells it as a complete package. You can purchase the complete writing package from the Write Foundation website here for $70 which includes Spiral Instruction Manual Lessons 1 -30, Student Worksheets Full Set Lessons 1 – 30, and the Paragraph Additional Resources. You can check out the other levels on their website as well.

Note: I received this product for free from Write Foundation in order to provide an honest review for my readers.
