Each guide includes a topic overview, movie synopsis and activities in order to study the movie in more depth, going beyond just viewing and discussing it.

My family received the z-guide for Kit Kittredge, which happens to already be one of our favorite movies to watch. This time around gave us a deeper appreciation and comprehension of all aspects of this movie. This movie guide is geared toward Junior High school age and topically covers the Great Depression. The movie guide includes an easy to follow daily schedule which spans a 5 day period. The first day we watched the movie while answering various questions about the movie itself. Each day there are several activities varying from researching answers to various questions provided, a vocabulary related worksheet, writing assignments, creating a presentation, discussion about literary devices as well as many other types of activities over the course of the different days. The movie guide also includes a family discussion section which allows your family to participate together, nurturing an overall learning environment for your family. The guide includes an answer key as well so you are not left guessing on your own if you need help with any of the activities.

The movie guide establishes the historical context of the movie in addition to providing learning opportunities based on the storyline while encouraging critical thinking through the various activities included.

We really enjoyed watching the movie again and learning more about the Great Depression through the various activities in the guide. Zeezok has many other movie guides for you to choose from for your own family.
