Big IQ Kids review

My kids and I have been enjoying a premium subscription to Big IQ Kids in order to provide an unbiased review as a member of the TOS Homeschool Crew.
Basically your elementary or middle school student has access to interactive academic lessons in various subject areas with games that they can earn as they finish lessons.

My kids both enjoyed this format since it not only stretched them to learn more but they had fun with it as well. For them, this was a good format since it gave them a good balance between typical schoolwork and a type of reward that was fun for them. I found that they tended to want to do the various lessons daily on a consistent basis. For me as a homeschool Mom this was a blessing because it was something they could both do on their own. Whenever I needed to work with just one of my daughters I could send the other off to the computer to work on lessons through Big IQ Kids and know she was still getting the benefit of learning without being given some type of busy work or just sitting there waiting on me.
This was one of the few programs my kids have worked with that gave them a diversity of subjects to choose from. Other programs I have used focused on one or a few subjects. Big IQ Kids gave my kids the opportunity to work on math, spelling, state facts, and vocabulary. As a parent I had the option to create my own spelling lists within the program which was an added benefit from just having pre-chosen lists for my kids to work with. The math section is setup so that your child can focus on certain areas and get more practice where they need it most. The vocabulary area has lists from elementary through SAT words.
In addition to earning tokens so that they can play the available games, your child can earn the chance to get in the 100% club when they earn a 100% on a quiz.
As a parent you receive progress reports by email so that you know what your child is working on and how they are doing with the program.
I was really pleased with BIG IQ Kids and think anyone with kids K-12 will get a benefit out of what they have to offer.
BIG IQ Kids program is free but has the premium subscription which is what I reviewed as a homeschool parent.
