WDW: Epcot’s World Showcase
Anyone who knows me realizes that our family loves all things Disney. While we can’t go very often to WDW, when we can go we let ourselves get carried away with the sights and sounds of all that is there. The best place to do just that is at Epcot’s World Showcase. If you haven’t been there before, the Showcase area is where you can walk literally from country to country and explore each country as if you are actually there. I love this because I know we can’t really afford to travel and take our kids to various places so this is the next best thing to doing that for them. You can view a description of what World Showcase is all about on the Disney site at http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/epcot/. At each of the different country pavilions you can experience their food and culture. When we go there we like to imagine we are really at each of these countries and like to sample at least something of the food at each one, explore the culture through the different activities and exhibits as well as talk to the natives that are working at that pavilion. So far our favorite place is in England at the Rose and Crown Pub’s outside place where we normally get fish and chips. We always let our kids do the craft that each of the countries had to work on. We made sure we set aside time to visit each of the countries at Epcot.
As a homeschooler I like being able to do things that are a little educational when we are on vacations and Epcot allows us to be able to explore other cultures/countries while still being relatively close to home. Also, it is just plain fun too.

Great post, Barbara. I was hoping you’d soon start participating!
I tried to leave a comment – not sure if it worked or not – doesn’t look like it did. Anyway, so happy to see you participating this week!
What a creative blog template – I love the Mickey Ears! Epcot is my favorite too! I enjoyed visiting your blog from the TOS blog walk
