A Walk in My Shoes: Tonight on NBC ( December 3rd 8/7c )
I had the opportunity to preview this movie before it airs tonight and I wanted to share my thoughts with you.
In this movie 3 different people’s lives collide and none of them are left unchanged. A schoolteacher, a widowed waitress and her kids, and a Marine who is trying to cope with life outside of the military all meet in an unexpected way when Molly mysteriously enters into their lives. I won’t spoil the storyline but I will tell you to watch the trailer to get a better idea of the story itself:

A Walk in My Shoes is a movie that is wholesome family entertainment. It contains no foul language or adult situations which makes it acceptable for viewers of all ages which is a rare find these days. I remember growing up and being able to watch prime-time tv with my family. Raising a family these days is a challenge especially when it comes to tv viewing. I can say that our family rarely is able to sit down and watch tv together unless it is with a DVD we have selected and put in ourselves. My kids actively seek out those DVD sets at the library of some of the shows I watched when I was growing up because there just isn’t anything wholesome and entertaining on television anymore. It makes it even more difficult when you want something with any type of real content void of “pure fluff”.
A Walk in My Shoes definitely “fits” if you are looking for a show that is both heartwarming and entertaining and makes you think instead of sitting there just staring at the screen. If you homeschool like we do it is also something you can watch and use to start a discussion with your kids. If you are a Christian there is plenty about this movie that you can take from it and open up your Bible and see how it relates to the various truths and stories within God’s word. If you don’t fall within those two categories then you can enjoy watching this movie as a family and take something from it as well.
Don’t forget to watch it tonight on NBC. Grab some popcorn and watch it together as a family.
