Webcam of Barn Owl Molly and her hatchlings
My family and I have been fascinated by watching Molly, the barn owl, and how she is handling the new hatchings as they come. The other day the first one was born. He was called Max by the person who set up this experience for us web viewers. I remember when the internet first started and who would have thought we would be where we are with it today. Can’t imagine having homeschooled with out it.

I have a question—Do owls lay eggs day by day or do they lay them all in “one sitting?” I’ve had a lot of parakeets, and they will lay their eggs day by day, and and the first egg that was passed will hatch first– is it the same with owls? Oh, and by the way, I love your birdhouses…My son and I built a lot of those! From KayLynn
KayLynn,
Here is a website where you can find some answers about Barn Owls. http://www.barnowltrust.org.uk I just posted the web cam link for others to enjoy what we have been watching. I am not affiliated with those folks who set it up.
I believe the next egg is suppose to hatch maybe on Tuesday. There were originally 6 eggs in this group but one was infertile.
Enjoy !
