TOS Homeschool Crew Review: Mathletics
Having one child who loves math and one that doesn’t sometimes poses some difficulties. I am always looking for math activities and materials to help one to embrace and learn math and the other to be able to move at the pace she needs without her losing interest because things are too easy for her.
I was more than pleased to receive a free 45 day Mathletics subscription from 3P Learning.

Just what is Mathletics? It is an online math program that is available 24/7. Your child creates an avatar to use while they are logged into the website. Mathletics provides various learning experiences such as competing in timed drills against kids from all over the world,

learning areas where they can master various math skills,

and step by step tutorials that walk your child through learning and mastering new concepts. Your child earns points from what they do online. With these points they earn certificates as well as the ability to purchase virtual items for their avatar. I liked that my kids were able to use this service to enhance their current math curriculum and that it served to motivate them to practice their math skills. My kids enjoyed all aspects of Mathletics and often asked to be able to go online. I saw a noticeable improvement in my child who did not like math in the short time we had this subscription. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a way to help heir child improve their math skills and as a supplement to any math curriculum.
As a parent I can view the progress of my child through my own parent login and I can also set up and control activities for my child as well as print workbooks for yet another math supplement.
You can purchase a subscription for $59 per child for an entire year. If you correctly fill in the Human Calculator’s favorite number where it asks for this information then you can purchase a single child subscription for $49.95 for a year, (For my readers, I can tell you that the number is 9).
